Ruth Elizabeth Gard Stroup was born Aug. 6, 1915 to Samuel A. and Louisa Marie Ireland Gard. She died Jan. 28, 2008 and is buried in Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, FL.
Ruth served with the U.S. Navy WAVES in World War II. She was married to Robert Delos Stroup. Sgt. Stroup served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
