WAVE of the Day
Miss Mildred Ruth Dose, daughter of Mrs. Adele Does, 1804 Bridge avenue, has enlisted in the WAVES.
She will leave Davenport Sept. 6. Mildred has two brothers in the service, Sgt. Harvey V. Dose, who is now in England, and Sgt. Donald A. Dose.
Prior to her enlistment in the WAVES she graduated from Davenport high school and was employed at the Rock Island arsenal.

Mildred Ruth Dose, storekeeper, third class, daughter of Mrs. Adele Dose, 1804 Bridge avenue, recently received her discharge from the WAVES at Great Lakes.
Miss Dose entered the navy 15 months ago, received her training at Hunter college and Oakland, Calif. She has been stationed in Oakland until her discharge. Before entering the service, she was employed at the Rock Island arsenal.
Two brothers, Harvey and Donald, were also in the service and have received their discharges recently.
