Brother and Sister Are Serving in Navy
Gloria M. Davies and William E. Davies, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. F.O.B. Davies, are both serving in the navy.
Gloria, who has a Specialist T rating, is stationed in the Link Trainer division of the Naval Air station at Corpus Christi, Tex. She enlisted in the WAVES last August and received her boot training at Hunter college and her link training at Atlanta, Ga. Her position at Corpus Christi will be to instruct naval air cadets in blind flying. She is a graduate of Davenport high school. Before joining the WAVES, she was a member of the Skylark Flying club of Moline, Ill., and was employed at the Rock Island arsenal.
William "Bill" Davies, is a first class petty officer and is stationed at the Naval Air station at Pearl Harbor, T.H.

WAVE Gloria M. Davies, specialist second class, of Davenport, Ia., is now serving in the link training department at the U.S. naval training station at Kaneohe, T.H.
Miss Davies is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Davies, 226 1/2 West Fourteenth street. She attended Davenport high school and was employed at the Rock Island arsenal after leaving school in 1940. Prior to her transfer here, Miss Davies was stationed at Corpus Christi, Tex.

In The Armed Services
William E. Davies, aviation machinist's mate, first class, U.S. navy reserve, and Gloria M. Davies, specialist teacher, second class of the WAVES, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.B Davies, 226 1/2 West Fourteenth street, Davenport, are believed to be the only brother and sister among the thousands serving in the naval air service transport command at Honolulu.
