Mary Kathryn Condon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Condon, route 3, was sworn a member of the marine corps in Des Moines Friday. She will soon be sent to a college campus for her beginning training.

Miss Mary Kathryn Condon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Condon, Route 3, Waterloo, will leave Tuesday for Camp Lejeune, New River, N.C., to begin her training in the Womens' Marine Corps reserve. She was sworn into the marines at Des Moines on May 14 She has been an employee in the personnel office at the Rath Packing company here.
