Elinor Margaret Burdick daughter of Mr. and Mrs E.E. Burdick, 134-4th Ave NE enlisted in the WAAC auxiliary at Des Moines and was sworn in March 17. She plans to take up a medical course.
Miss Burdick expects to be called sometime before April 10.
She graduated form the Oelwein High School and been employed at St Luke's hospital in Ceder Rapids where she will return until she is called for service. She is at present time spending a few days in Oelwein visiting.
Miss Burdick intends to volunteer for foreign service.
