GERALDINE BUCK AT I.S.TC.
Geraldine S. Buck, of 802 Clark Ave., was enrolled at the Naval Training School (Yeomen-W) on the Iowa State Teacher's College campus, at Cedar Falls.
The member of the Women's Reserve was selected for her specialty training on the basis of her recruit training aptitude tests and past civilian experience. The course of yeoman study includes shorthand, typing, Naval correspondence, records and from and current events.
Successful completion of the course makes this Wave eligible for a petty officer rate before receiving further duty orders.

Geraldine Sarah Buck Searchfield was born Sept. 27, 1918 to Arthur and Ethel Zumwalt Buck. She died Mar. 2, 1994 in MI.
Geraldine served in World War II with the U.S. Navy WAVES. She was married to Harold Searchfield.
