Six Kossuth Girls Leave for WAVE Training Tuesday
The 6:30 bus Tuesday morning carried six Kossuth girls who are on their way to take training for the WAVES. They reported at Camp Dodge Tuesday and from there will proceed to Chicago and then on to Hunters College, New York, for the regular course in training. The girls were:
Maxine Brundage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Brundage, Algona.

Maxine Brundage to Georgia Naval School
Maxine Brundage, 20, seaman second class, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Brundage, 209 South Ridgley street, Algona, has completed her basic training and indoctrination course at the Naval Training School for WAVES, The Bronx, New York, and is proceeding to the Storekeepers School, U. S. Naval Training School, Milledgeville, Georgia. Before she entered the naval service, Seaman Brundage attended the Algona High school and Iowa State College, Ames.

Three local WAVES left the first of the week after having visited relatives and friends for seven days on a delay enroute on travel time.
Winifred Plumb, Y 3/c, left Sunday night for San Diego and will be assigned to duty somewhere in the 11th Naval district. She has been in Stillwater, Okla., for three months.
Marjorie Drayton, Y 3/c, left Sunday for Washington, D.C., for assignment to duty. She has been stationed at Stillwater, Okla.
Maxine Brundage left Monday night for San Francisco for further assignment. She came from Milledgeville, Georgia, where she has had three months training as storekeeper.
Margaret Plumb, sister of Winifred, will complete her boot training at Hunters College, New York, this week and will then be assigned elsewhere for further training.

MAXINE BRUNDAGE WEDS IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs J.W. Biggers, pictured, is the former Maxine Burndage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.D. Brundage. She and Mr. Biggers were married recently in Oakland, Calif. Maxine is a storekeeper 3-c in the WAVES. Her husband is a storekeeper 2-c in the Coast Guard.
