First Cedar Falls Girl to Join Waves
Believed to be the first Cedar Falls girl to join the Waves, Miss Margaret Isobel Bobzin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H Bobzin, 2532 Olive street, was sworn into service Feb. 16 in Des Moines. An employee of the Montgomery Ward store in Waterloo, she is awaiting call upon which she will be sent to one of the three indoctrination centers in the United States for preliminary training.

Cedar Falls WAVE Given Promotion
Cedar Falls—Margaret I. Bobzin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Bobzin, 2522 Olive street, Cedar Falls, has been advanced in rank from seaman first class to specialist Q.T.E. third class in the WAVES, according to word received by her parents.
She is now a supervisor in Navy communications department, Washington, D.C., and is living with a sister, Jean, who is employed in the FBI office. Before joining the WAVES she was employed at Montgomery-Ward store in Waterloo.
