Hamilton Instructor New WAVE Recruit
Miss Bernice Bobenhouse, who has been a member of the staff of instructors at the Hamilton School of Commerce for the past year and a half has been sworn into the WAVES and will report at Hunter College, New York, for her indoctrination course, Jan.4.
Miss Bobenhouse is a graduate of Drake university and has done summer work at Iowa State Teachers college and the University of Iowa. She taught for a number of years in Iowa public schools before coming to Mason City.
At Hamilton, Miss Bobenhouse had has classes in specialized dictation, advance accounting and filing. Her home is in Des Moines.

Bernice Bobenhouse to Hunter College
Miss Bernice Bobenhouse, Mason City, joined the WAVES and on Jan. 6th left for Hunter College, New York, for the indoctrination course. Miss Bobenhouse is a graduate from Drake, Des Moines, and the past year and half has been teaching shorthand and typing and classes specialized dictation at Hamilton School of Commerce, Mason City. Prior to that she was a teacher in the consolidated school at Rudd for thirteen years. Miss Bobenhouse is a daughter of Mrs. Crace Bobenhouse, of Des Moines and the latter is the former Grace Reibsamen of Titonka, well known to Kossuth residents in that section of the county. Mrs. Andrew Peterson, Titonka, is an aunt of Miss Bobenhouse.

Bernice Bobenhouse Gets Further Training in WAVES in New York
Bernie Maxine Bobenhouse, seaman 2/c, daughter of Henry Bobenhouse, Des Moines, and former instructor in shorthand and typing in the Hamilton School of Commerce in Mason City, has completed her basic training and indoctrination course at the Naval Training School fo WAVES. The Bronx, New York, and has received orders for further instruction there. Seaman Bobenhouse is a graduate of Drake university in Des Moines.
