LAKE CITY WAVE
Lake City -- Mildred Bell of Ames, granddaughter of Mr and Mrs D.D. Hammond of this city, and a former Lake City resident, has joined the WAVES and is training in New York.

Mildred Lucille “Muggs” Bell was born May 17, 1920 to Joseph Raymond and Hortensia Harriett Bell. She died Aug. 4, 2015 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Mildred served with the U.S. Navy WAVES in World War II. She was married to Dorell Keefe and after his death married Hans Paulson.
