Miss Ann Allenstein, a member of the nursing staff at Allen Memorial hospital since January 1942, will leave May 15 to assume her new duties as an army nurse at Hampton General hospital, Modesto, Calif. Miss Allenstein, who enlisted for service Nov. 1, has been on general duty in the operating room at Allen Memorial. She is a graduate of St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, Ia.

SUMNER ARMY NURSE BACK FROM AUSTRALIA
Sumner, Ia. -- Lt. Ann Allenstein is spending a 15 day leave at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Allentsein, at Sumner, having recently returned from six months service in Australia.
She was graduated from St. Luke's hospital school of nursing in Davenport in 1941, and worked a year and a half in surgery at Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo before joining the army nurse corps in May, 1942.
She has been assigned to a hospital ship and expects to leave the states again after returning to the west coast Sunday.
