Thelma Acord, former all-state high school basketball forward at Farragut High and now a pharmacist's mate, third class, in the WAVES, expects to be transferred from Lawrence, Kan., where she is stationed now, about Nov.1.

Thelma Acord, W.L. Horstman Wed in LeMars
Miss Thelma Acord, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Acord of Riverton, was married to W.L. Horstman, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Horstman, 116 Forest ave., at 7 p.m. Oct 2 in the First Methodist church in LeMars. The Rev. Joseph J. Share officiated.
Miss Berniece Acord, sister of the bride, and Donald Taylor, both of Merrill, were attendants.
After a wedding trip to Fort Morgan and Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cheyenne, Wyo, the couple will reside in Des Moines.

Farragut Girl Bride of Des Moines Man
Farragut -- Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Thelma Acord, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Acord of Farragut, to W.L. Horstman of Des Moines, which took place Oct 2 at the First Methodist church of LeMars.
The bride is a graduate of Farragut High school and served in the WAVES during world war II. The couple will live in Des Moines.
