OUR MEN IN SERVICE 

T-SGT. POTEE IS AWARDED AIR MEDAL 

Allied Air Forces, Southwest Pacific Area – Sgt. Milton C. Potee, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.I. Potee, 706 Wilson avenue, was recently decorated with the Air Medal. The award was made in recognition of courageous service to his combat organization, his fellow American airmen and his country. He was cited for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight in the Southwest Pacific area. He took part in sustained operational flight missions during which hostile contact was probable and expected. These flights included bombing missions against the enemy installations, shipping and supply bases and aided considerably in the recent success in this theater. 

KEITH WILLIBY PROMOTED 

Keith E. Williby has been promoted to first lieutenant, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Williby, 716 Burnett. He is a navigator on a B-24. His address is Lt. Keith E. Williby O-712972, 431st Bomber Sqdn., 11th Bomber Grp. APO c-o Postmaster, San Francisco, Calif. 

BILL CODY PROMOTED TO TECH. SERGEANT 

Headquarters – 254 Inf. France – Bill Cody, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Cody, 404 E. Third street, was recently promoted in the infantry from staff sergeant to technical sergeant. Bill graduated from Ames High. He enlisted in the army in 1942. His new address is T/Sgt. Bill Cody 19148194, Co. H. 254th Inf. APO. 410 %Postmaster, New York, N.Y.
