Three Des Moines members of the American Red Cross are now serving overseas. Ardon L. Cole, of 4321 Lincoln ave., is stationed in Hawaii where he is serving as assistant field director. He formerly was a social science and commercial instructor at Roosevelt High school and also coach in football there.
Helen M. Jones, formerly case worker for the Polk county board of social welfare, in Des Moines, is serving in Australia as a hospital social worker. Until her overseas assignment, Miss Jones served with the Red Cross at Camp Grant, Ill, Camp Robinson, Ark., and For Bliss, Tex.
Allen Cleman of 1339 E. Sheridan ave., is an assistant field director in Australia. He is a graduate of North high school and a former student at Drake university. Previously, he taught at schools in Liberty Center, Bayard and Cooper, La.
