Four former Des Moines residents had arrived safely overseas to serve with the Red Cross. They are Geraldine L. James, Virginia M.B. Wesibrod, Carl J. Bosholm and Vivian Christensen.
Miss James arrived in England to serve as a staff assistant. She is a graduate of Drake university.
Miss Weibrod, former physical education instructor at Hubbell school, arrived in England where she will be a staff assistant.
Bosholm, 606 E. Thirty-second st, was sent to Australia to be an assistant field director. Until his Red Cross appointment, Bosholm was with the Des Moines Young Men's Christian Association.
Miss Christensen, daughter of Mrs. C.S. Marquis, 1002 Arthur ave., has arrived in England to serve as staff assistant. She is a graduate of East high school, Northwestern university and University of Kansas. She previously was a music teacher in Rippey, Ia., public schools.
