Duane Chadwick Young was born Jan. 1, 1901 to George Washington and Mary Elma Yarnell Young. He died Sept. 23, 1976 and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills), Los Angeles, Ca.
Ensign Young served on the USS Noble and participated in the Okinawa campaign with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He continued to serve through the Korean War.
