George Thomas Yaus was born Oct. 25, 1917 to George A. and Bertha E. Fish Yaus. He died Oct. 24, 1965 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.
George served with the U.S. Army in both World War II and Korea. In World War II, Pvt. Yaus was a radioman with a signal battalion attached to the First army in Iceland, France and Germany.
