Joseph B. Wolfe was born June 26, 1921 to Joseph and Anna R. Wolfe. He died Apr. 17, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Lt. Wolfe served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 8th Air Force, 375th Fighter Squadron, 361st Fighter Group and was KIA in Eger, Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
