Virgil Henry Witte was born Apr. 21, 1914 to Fred W. and Sarah E. Sloan Witte. He died Oct. 14, 1943 and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Wheatland, IA.
Sgt. Witte served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 15th Academic Squadron and died as the result of injuries incurred in an automobile accident.
