Cpl. Wilson served in World War II at Headquarters, 22nd Tank Battalion, Camp Barkeley, TX.

Glen L. Wilson, 75, Gowrie, a former Webster City resident, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997 at the Gowrie Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery at Webster City. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 191 of Webster City. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
Glen Lyle Wilson, son of Fred and Mata (Walterman) Wilson, was born Aug. 10, 1922 at Webster City. He had been employed at the McCollough Foundry for 18 years and Webster City Iron and Metal for 26 years. His wife preceded him in death in March of 1989. He has resided at the Gowrie Care Center since December of 1996.
He is survived by step-children, Jerry, Larry, Allen and Gary Dixon, all of Webster City; a brother, Alvin Wilson, Webster City; sisters, Mary Lou Heslop, Webster City, Edythe Kohn, Vancouver, Wash., Inez Ewing, Janesville, Wis., and Ruth Walker, Fort Dodge; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the American Legion Post 191, Disabled American Veterans and the Webster City Moose Lodge.
