Donald Deforest Wills was born Mar. 13, 1917 to Thomas Grant and Ruth Opal Morrow Wills. He died Nov. 14, 1994 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Cpl. Donald served with the 2132nd Army Air Forces Base Unit, 467th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force in World War II.

Donald D. Wills, Webster City, died Nov. 14, 1994 at his home. The body was cremated. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John Jay Walsh officiating. A graveside military service will be conducted by the American Legion Post 191. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at their home at 716 White Post Drive.

Donald DeForrest Wills, son of Thomas and Ruth (Morrow) Wills, was born March 13, 1913 at Waterloo. Later, he and his family moved to Webster City. He graduated as class president from Lincoln High School in 1935.

Donald married Ina Steinmaus April 5, 1937 at Webster City. The couple then resided in Webster City. He was employed at the Webster City Post Office for 37 years, and retired from the position as postmaster in 1973. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II in the European Theater of Action.

He is survived by his wife, Ina; daughters and sons-in-law Joan and Joel Rigter of Charleston, S.C. and Colleen and Dean Reinhardt of Des Moines; son and daughter-in-law Don and Glenda Wills of Webster City, and son Kent Wills of Oxnard, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Cornwell of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Cecil Wills.

Donald was a former member of the Elks Club, American Legion Post 191, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge, and the CSP Club. He was a volunteer with RSVP and a driver for Meals on Wheels.
