Engagement Of Rose Penning Is Announced Here
Mr. and Mrs. William Penning of LeMars announce the engagement of their daughter, Myrtle Rose Penning, of Long Beach, Cal., to Fireman 2/c Ralph Russell Wickersham, son of Mrs. Elma Kaiser, of Blencoe, Ia.
Miss Penning is a graduate of Central high school of this city and of Samuel’s school of cosmetology in Sioux City. At present she is employed in the office of the California Shipbuilding ocrporation at Terminal Island, Cal.
Mr. Wickersham is a graduate of Onawa high school and for the past two years has been serving in the U. S. Navy, somewhere in the Pacific.

NEWS of the Boys in the Service.
Ralph Wickersham, motor machinist mate second class, and bride arrived Monday for a visit in the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Penning. The couple left Thursday morning for San Francisco where they will visit before returning to Long Beach where Ralph will report for duty.
