Robert W. Whyte, husband of Mrs. Mildred Whyte, 2312 S. Maple Street, is receiving his initial naval indoctrination at Great Lakes, Ill. Upon completing his recruit training he will be granted a leave before being assigned to further service.

Robert W. Whyte, seaman second class, returned to Great Lakes, Ill., Wednesday after spending his boot leave with his wife and children who reside at 2312 S. Maple Street. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Whyte, 2219 S. Patterson Street.
