IN UNIFORM
Sgt. Don Whitmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B Whitmer, 3809 Sixth Avenue has arrived at the home of his parents after receiving an honorable discharge based on the point system. He was accompanied by his wife and child of Marion, Alabama. Sgt. Whitmer was message center chief with the Fourth cavalry and was 18 months in the European area. He entered the service in June, 1941 and is a graduate of East High School and attended Iowa State College at Ames.
