Emil George Wente was born Oct. 16, 1922 to Emil C. and Gertie Wilkins Wente. He died May 22, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial, Neuville-en-Condroz, Liege, Belgium.
Sgt. Wente served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II with the 364th Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomber Group, Heavy and was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
