Donald Clarence Wangsness was born Apr. 14, 1924 to Clarence Donald and Marie Anderson Wangsness. He died Mar. 4, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint Avold, France.
Flight Officer Wangsness served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 352nd Bomb Squadron, 301 Bomb Group (H) and was co-pilot of a plane shot down on a bombing mission to Austria. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
