Cris Nickolas VanBeek was born July 29, 1925 to Nickolas and Agnes VanBeek. He died Dec. 31, 1944 and was buried in Henry-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
Pvt. VanBeek served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a Light Machine Gunner with the 134th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
