Loren Edward Turbett was born Jan. 31, 1912 to Melvin Bridge and Edith Genevieve Breazeale Turbett. He died Jan. 18, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg and memorialized in Salem East Cemetery, Salem, IA.
Pvt. Turbett served in World War II with the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.
