Virgil Leroy Trotter was born Nov. 6, 1925 to Harold J. and Lucille Faidley Trotter. He died Mar. 31, 1945 and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, IA.
Pvt. Trotter served in World War II with the U.S. Army 172nd Infantry, 43rd Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action on Luzon Island, Philippine Islands.
