Forest Gard Traughber was born Dec. 6, 1913 to Sidney Thomas and Grace May Gard Traughber. He died Nov. 18, 1944 and is buried in Storm Lake Cemetery, Storm Lake, IA.
Sgt. Traughber served in World War II with the U.S. Army 43rd Engineers and died on Morotia Island, Netherlands, East India while in the service of his country.
