First Class Private John Tolson is home on a short furlough from Fort Riley, Kansas. He arrived Saturday, called by the illness of his father, Paul Tolson, 1507 Hamilton Street. Young Tolson is a former employee of The Journal-Tribune Publishing Company. He has been at Fort Riley about a year and belongs to the motorized cavalry.

MEN IN SERVICE
Private John T. Tolson, son of Mrs. Susie Tolson, 1507 Hamilton Street, and the late Paul Tolson, maintenance man at The Journal building for 15 years, has arrived here on emergency furlough because of the illness of his mother. Private Tolson, who was assistant maintenance man at The Journal when he was inducted 20 months ago, is a member of a Cavalry company stationed at Camp Lockett, California.
