George S. Tillman, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Tillman, 611 Steuben Street, has arrived at the naval training station at Norfolk, Virginia for preliminary training.

George S. Tillman was born Nov. 4, 1922 to Charley and Reine Strawtha Tillman. He died Aug. 21, 2006 and is buried in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.
Chief Petty Officer Tillman served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
