James A. Tiernan was born Oct. 25, 1922 to Hugh A. and Agnes V. Tiernan. He died Jan. 29, 1945 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France.
Pvt. Tiernan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and was awarded the Purple Heart.
