William Wesley Thurmond was born Oct. 2, 1926 to Brice C. and Ethel Mae Walker Thurmond. He died Nov. 26, 2010 and is buried in Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.
Lieutenant Commander Thurmond served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam with the U.S. Navy.
