Elvin Dean Thompson was born Feb. 3, 1912 to Oren Park and Bessie Vane Black Thompson. He died Apr. 20, 1989 and is buried in the Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, IA.
Dr. Thompson was a Major in the U.S. Army and served with the 78th Field Artillery, 2nd Armored Division; 76th General Hospital ETOUSA; and Station Hospital, AAF Keesler Field, MS.
