Lloyd William Simmons was born Aug. 12, 1921 to H. L. and Nellie E. Simmons. He died Dec. 22, 1943 and is buried in Oakview Cemetery, Albia, IA.
Lt. Simmons served in World War II with the U.S. Army with the 104th Infantry Division. He died in the service of his country near Ryder, Arizona as the result of an airplane crash.
