Robert E. Strong was born Nov. 25, 1918 to Guy and Maude Graves Strong. He died Apr. 6, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Flight Officer Strong served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 100th Bomber Squadron, 42nd Bomber Group, Medium and was MIA/KIA over Borneo while serving his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
