Theron Jake Stookesberry was born Apr. 29, 1917 to Jake and Ivy French Stookesberry. He died Sept. 3, 1944 and is memorialized in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.
Lt. Stookesberry served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 350th Bomber Squadron, 100th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA in the European Theatre, English Channel. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
