Eugene Joseph Stellern was born June 18, 1924 to Eugene F. and Florence V. De Rosear Stellern. He died June 28, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Stellern served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron 124 and was MIA/FOD in the Pacific area near Korea. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
