Wallace Reine Springer was born Mar. 22, 1923 to Neal L. and Johanna (Hannah) Sampson Springer. He died June 26, 1944 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.
Pvt. Springer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in France. He is memorialized at the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Florence, Italy. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
