Ivan Hadley Smith was born Nov. 30, 1916 to Ralph E. and May Elizabeth Smich Smith. He died July 1, 1945 and is buried in Cedar Cemetery, Fremont, IA.
Sgt. Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 80th Depot Repair Squadron and died as the result of an automobile crash near the airfield at Marana, Arizona.
