Henry Clayton Smith was born Feb. 29, 1924 to Earnest E. and Lulu Amanda Ripley Smith. He died Sept. 23, 1944 and is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, IA.
Sgt. Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 344th Bomb Squadron and was KIA in Holland.
