Damon Harold Smith was born Jan. 6, 1924 to Harold J. and Naome Marsh Smith. He died June 7, 2005 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Smith served with the U.S. Army 1880th Engineers Aviation Battalion during World War II. Bud enjoyed over a forty year career as a purser for the military sealift command before his retirement to Webster City.
