John James Shea was born May 1, 1919 to John L. and Ellen F. Markham Shea. He died Oct. 18, 1944 and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Sgt. Shea served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/FOD/KIA as a crew member of a B-24 (Liberator) bomber which collided in mid-air with another plane during an electrical storm, while returning from a bombing mission to Germany.
