Robert J. Schneiders, 20, on duty in the South Pacific, has been promoted to yeoman third class. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Schneiders, 1421 W. Palmer Avenue. His friend, Jack Newton, formerly of Sioux City, has been promoted to radio technician second class. They recently enjoyed a visit with Jim McLaughlin, now in the navy, a former employe of The Journal.

Robert J. Schneiders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Schneiders, 1421 W. Palmer, has been advanced to the rank of second class yeoman. He has been stationed in the South Pacific 16 months.
