Bernard Jacob “Barney” Schlorholtz was born Dec. 12, 1921 to Abel John and Emma Martha Becker Schlorholtz. He died Sept. 13, 1944 and is buried in Wheatland Cemetery, Breda, IA.
Cpl. Schlorholtz served in World War II with the U.S. Army 814th Tank Destroyer Battalion, 7th Armored Division and was KIA in France.
