Gerald Marvin Schippers was born Sept. 9, 1922 to Arnold J. and Lena Steele Schippers. He died June 23, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Schippers served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 530th Bomber Squadron, 380th Bomb Group, Heavy and was KIA on Mindoro Island, Philippine Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
