Edgar William Schietzelt was born Apr. 6, 1919 to Ernie and Ida Haack Schietzelt. He died Mar. 28, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Pvt. Schietzelt served in World War II with the U.S. Army 71st Infantry Regiment, 44th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
