Dallas Roy Scarrow was born Aug. 2, 1918 to Elmo Thomas and Emma Elizabeth Wendt Scarrow. He died Nov. 26, 1942 and is buried in Dumont Cemetery, Dumont, IA. He is memorialized at the tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines.
Pvt. Scarrow served in World War II with the U.S. Army 126th Infantry, 32nd Division and was MIA/KIA in New Guinea. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal.
