Romolo Nicholas Russo was born Aug. 8, 1915 to Augustine N. and Maria Parella Russo. He died Jan. 27, 1995 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.
1st Lt. Russo served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.
